We often see media coverage for the startup and commissioning of a new recycling facility. While meeting design criteria such as throughput and purities at commissioning should be considered a minimum benchmark, it is always exciting to celebrate this milestone. The real test comes a year later, when the excitement of commissioning has faded and a facility is operating under the realities of day-to-day production.
We're proud to share that one of our recently completed recycling facilities in Pen Argyl Pennsylvania has now been running for a full year, and it continues to exceed expectations. The plant is consistently processing more than 30 tons per hour, surpassing design capacity by 15%, while maintaining excellent product quality meeting market expectations.
While the performance metrics are worth celebrating, what matters most is that a year later, our customer remains extremely satisfied with the system and the flexibility it provides. One of the key objectives during the design phase was to build a system capable of adapting to changing material streams and market demands without sacrificing performance, and it has been rewarding to see that flexibility deliver real value in operation.
Achievements like these are never the result of one company alone. A sincere thank you to WM for their partnership and trust throughout the project, and to the many STADLER team members across engineering, project management, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and service who made this facility a success.
The first twelve months are worth celebrating, but they also mark the beginning of the next phase. At STADLER, we view commissioning as the start of a long term partnership, not the finish line. Through remote system monitoring, proactive service visits, technical support, operator training, and strategic spare parts planning, our after sales team helps customers maintain peak performance for the next 15 to 20 years.
A successful startup is a requirement. A successful first year is worth celebrating. Long-term success is our mission.
